Busy

The holidays kept us quite busy this year as we hosted for my family. Everything went smoothly and I think the day turned out well. We don't have many pictures though. We almost need to hire a photographer for the day to make sure we have pictures!

I got to spend a week at home with Madelynn since her school was closed. I don't know which of us enjoyed being at home more! We both had to go back to our normal routines on January 4th, but she moved up to the next class at school. She moved without a problem, they said she fit right in like she had been there the whole time. You really can't tell that she's much younger than the others in the class (except she doesn't have as much hair - it's coming though).

Chris went on a Men's Golf Trip (http://www.ibcmb.com/) January 5th through 9th to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. My guess is that the weather normally is not the same as it was this year. The cold snap caused frost delays on the tee times and they ended up having to take rain checks for two of the rounds. Chris had fun though.

I was back at home with Madelynn for two days last week as she was sick with Bronchitis. She's still coughing a lot but seems to be feeling better.

I started training for the Ukrop's 10K this past Saturday and am looking forward to running again this year; now I just need to continue after the 10K is over. It's so hard for me to get up and run in the mornings and the afternoons start getting really hot - humidity sucks.

We have lots of little home improvement projects planned for the rest of the winter and spring. I'm hoping Chris decides to not try and do as much so we can plan some fun family outings this spring and summer since Madelynn will be able to enjoy them more this year. It's so much fun rediscovering the world through her eyes. Everything is "Wow"!

I'll work on getting some pictures loaded soon. And coming up with some new blog topics.
